A business process (BP) is a set of related tasks that produce a specific service or product. It contains interleaved decision points, thus, an instance of the process can follow one or multiple paths. Modelling, executing and managing those decision points relie on domain knowledge, its representation and the inference tools used with it. The concrete case of processes having textual data objects, semantic domain knowledge and decision points associated with ML / NLP tasks, leads us to settings where the NLP / ML tasks and the BP are coupled together with an underlying shared knowledge.
